Crane operation requires a skilled operator. T

he completion of unit standard 30072 is the starting point for those wishing to enter the Crane industry and cover the pre entry requirements for U/S 16617 Operate a Truck Loader Crane

Duration of the course is approximately 7 hours, consisting of theory and practical components.

This is a 1 day Unit Standard based course for 30072 which covers both theory and assessment.

  • No pre-requisits for this course

 

NOTE: IF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT MET, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SIT THIS COURSE. 

Course Outline

 

Theory:  

·         Knowledge of Hazards, hazard control and Lift plans

·         Knowledge of lifting gear and how to inspect

·         Knowledge of working load tables (WLL)

Practical:

·         Preparation of two loads and slinging them ready for lift

·         Knot tying for use as tag line and security for loads

 

This is the entry requirement for entering the industry and forms the foundations for safe practices in slinging loads

 

Upon successful competion of your training programme, you will be issued with a 30072 competency certificate and ID Card.

(This is an Assessment Course only) Upon completion of the theory and practical components, the student will be issued with a competency certificate and ID card.
