About this Course

In addition to holding the appropriate special-type vehicle endorsement, you must also hold the appropriate full class of licence that covers the weight of the special-type vehicle you want to drive.

 

A Wheels Endorsement on your licence allows you to drive the following:

NZ Class 1 Full Licence with appropriate endorsement allows you to drive: 

  • Wheels - Gross Laden Weight no more than 4500Kg or no more than 18,000 Kg if driven at a speed not exceeding 30Km/h 

 

NZ Class 2 Full Licence with appropriate endorsement allows you to drive: 

  • Wheels - Gross Laden Weight more than 18,000 Kg if driven at a speed not exceeding 30km/h 


NZ Class 4 Full Licence with appropriate endorsement allows you to drive: 

  • Wheels - Gross Laden Weight more than 18,000 Kg if driven at a speed exceeding 30km/h 

 

RTW Endorsements:

  • Wheels - The "W" Endorsement is for vehicles that run on wheels and that aren't forklifts, passenger vehicles, tractors, fire engines, trade vehicles or vehicle recovery service vehicles.
