Rollers, Tracks & Wheels Endorsement

In addition to holding the appropriate special-type vehicle endorsement, you must also hold the appropriate full class of license that covers the weight of the special-type vehicle you want to drive.

A Rollers,Tracks or Wheels Endorsement on your licence allows you to drive the following:

NZ Class 1 Full Licence with appropriate endorsement allows you to drive: 

·         Rollers - Gross Laden Weight no more than 18,000 Kg

·         Tracks - Gross Laden Weight no more than 18,000 Kg

·         Wheels - Gross Laden Weight no more than 4500Kg or no more than 18,000 Kg if driven at a speed not exceeding 30Km/h 

NZ Class 2 Full Licence with appropriate endorsement allows you to drive: 

·         Rollers - Gross Laden Weight more than 18,000 Kg 

·         Tracks - Gross Laden Weight more than 18,000 Kg

·         Wheels - Gross Laden Weight more than 18,000 Kg if driven at a speed not exceeding 30km/h 

NZ Class 4 Full Licence with appropriate endorsement allows you to drive: 

·         Wheels - Gross Laden Weight more than 18,000 Kg if driven at a speed exceeding 30km/h 

RTW Endorsements:

·         Rollers - The "R" Endorsement is for vehicles that run on rollers. 

·         Tracks - The "T" Endorsement is for vehicles that run on self-laying tracks. 

·         Wheels - The "W" Endorsement is for vehicles that run on wheels and that aren't forklifts, passenger vehicles, tractors, fire engines, trade vehicles or vehicle recovery service vehicles. 

You must hold a minimum of NZ Class 1 Full Licence in order to do this course.

This course covers the following:

1. Theory training component for selected endorsment(s) 
2. All required resource material 
3. Practical training and assessment for selected endorsement 
4. Approximately 4 hours duration

All required machinery is provided or we can use yours.

You must wear safety boots on this course.

3-6 WORKING DAYS prior to course start date:  50% Cancellation Fee / REFUND if pre-paid

2 WORKING DAYS prior to course start date: 100% Cancellation Fee / NO REFUND if pre-paid

PRACTICAL TRAINING CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING POLICY: 

Less than 24 hour notice results in a fee of $195.00 plus GST per cancelled/rescheduled drive.
