Class 2 Learner Licence Practice Course 

This online training course has been designed to help you prepare and get you ready to sit and pass your Class 2 learner licence test.

You can do this course on a Class 1 Full NZ Drivers Licence, but you can only book and sit the actual test with AA or VTNZ once you have held the NZ Class 1 Full Licence for at least 6 months.

(Note: The driver licencing agent will charge an application and test fee when booking in for your class 2 learners. You will also need to supply a driver licencing medical (DL9 form) with your application and do an eyesight test).

People who are doing an overseas conversion of licence can also do this course in preparation for the class 2 learner licence test you may be required to sit. 

Course Outline

Once enrolled into the course you will be emailed a link to our online learning portal.

Study is done at your own pace and in your own time.Your login will be valid for 3 months and you can practice the tests as much as you like before your login expires.

There are 4 sets of Class 2 learner licence practice tests (all have a mix of general road code questions and class 2 questions). We also have another test which has 44 questions specific to class 2.

The learner licence theory test at the AA or VTNZ is a computer-based, 35-question, multi-choice test that assesses your knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices. You will need to get at least 33 questions right to pass. 

Once you are getting an average of at least 33 questions correct, and you are confident, you can go ahead and book your test with the AA or VTNZ. Then once you have obtained your class 2 learners, you can book in to sit your class 2 full approved course with us.

Alternatively, you can book your class 2 full course with us and we can arrange your learner licence test with our local AA.
